Guiding Your Next Step to parenting Positive Discipline way!
Positive Discipline is a program based on the work of Alfred Adler and Rudolf Dreikurs. It teaches important social and life skills in a manner that is respectful to both the adults and children- raising young people to be responsible, respectful, and resourceful members of their community.
Positive Discipline empowers parents to build long term respectful and strong connections with their children. It also provides tools and strategies parents can use with their children everyday to build these long lasting connections.
Children who grow up in Positive Discipline homes have a sense of connection to their community, feel their input is regarded as meaningful and are less likely to engage in "mis" behavior. To be successful members of the community children need to be taught the necessary social skills. Positive Discipline is based on the understanding that discipline must be taught and teaches.
My name is Shazia Ali. I was introduced to Positive Discipline as a teacher and after witnessing the transformation in my students, I decided to become a Positive Discipline parent educator. My goal is to empower parents with effective tools to build strong relationships with their children.
I offer a complimentary one-hour introductory class so parents can get an idea of content I cover in the parenting classes.
I teach variety of online and in person classes such as four to five hour classes on single topics and six week comprehensive class (including a book and a workbook).
I am available on an hourly basis to coach families with their unique challenges with their children.

"The concepts that were most significant to my learning was the Mistaken Goal Chart, routine charts, family charts, and connection before correction. " Favtum
Yes!! Several things. Less yelling from me. Less tantrums. We have family meetings. We have tried positive time out. Sharing good and bad parts of our days. No more punitive punishments. We have more cooperations from our girls. Even the small differences are very noticeable.
